Minibus Purchase For Weston Scouts

25 September 2015

Camps and trips are at the heart of Scouting, and the 66th Bath (Weston Village) Scout Group enjoys a number of trips and camps each year, many of which have previously involved hiring minibuses from various companies and the travel to collect them. However,  the group are very excited to have now bought their own 15 seat Ford Transit minibus.

The bus, which will be used by the Group for all its camps and trips, was partly funded by the Group, and partly funded by a loan from Bath District Scouts, for which they are very grateful for the support. The bus, which is fitted with all-age-seatbelts to ensure that everyone can be safely transported, is also available for other Scout Groups, charities, community groups, schools and more, from Bath to hire.

Group Scout Leader, Dan Spencer, said “This bus will not only allow us to keep our costs down when running camps, but it will also allow us the flexibility to do more activities away from the hall. At the same time we are hoping that our bus will benefit the residents of Weston, and the wider Bath area, by providing affordable minibus hire right in the heart of the village”
