New Cub Pack set to open in Bath as demand grows

30 October 2015

We are very excited to be announcing that we are making space for even more young people to experience the fun and adventure of Cubs. Cubs is the second section in Scouting in the UK, and caters for children aged eight to ten years old. Cubs has actually been providing adventure to young people for nearly 100 years – and today over 150,000 boys and girls around the country are benefiting from the fun, challenge, adventure, friendship and skills it gives them.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen national news stories on young people in Scouting pushing boundaries – one Cub with a serious medical condition affecting his movement climbed Pen y Fan in aid of Mountain Rescue – and saving lives – one little girl in Hampshire recently saved her mother’s life after learning first aid the night before at Beavers. So, there’s plenty of evidence that being involved in Scouting can enable young people to make their mark on the world. The smiles and laughter also prove the we provide an interesting, engaging and fun programme for our young people – adventure being our main aim.

If you have a child of Cub age (8 to 10 years old), please come along to our 51st Bath Cubs open evening at Ascension Church Hall (next to Oldfield Park Junior School) on Wednesday 25th November, 18:15 to 19:00. On the night we will be getting the potential Cubs involved in some fun activities, as well as giving out more information on what Cubs do and how to join.
