Vacancies
We are always looking for extra inspirers and activity-planners to help lead our young people, but we also need volunteers to support our Leaders in whole variety of ways from organising events to helping get the word out!
Prior experience in a role is not essential or a requirement.
As a volunteer for the Scouts, we will provide all the appropriate training and support you need to help get you started.

Group and District Leaders – Beavers/Cubs/Scouts
We are looking for people who can support the Section Leaders (6-25 years old) in the District as well as help the relevant Assistant District Commissioners with their role. With a team, you could help organise District wide events, help with adult recruitment and be a point of contact for leaders to go to with questions or concerns.
Right now our super group at 31st St Barnabus, Southdown are particularly looking for extra volunteers to support their Cub Pack and Scout Troop. This is a friendly team with strong leadership who need extra people so that they can keep providing fun Scouting for all of the young people within their Sections
Assistant District Commissioner – Growth and Development
To drive our District plan forward in reaching as many young people in the Bath area as possible and to help coordinate volunteer and youth recruitment in existing and new Groups.
Event Coordinator(s)
Bath District would like to run exciting events throughout the year in the future. We are looking for volunteers to support us with these. You would be coordinating with Leaders from all Sections to run District events and promote other County and National events.
District Explorer Scout Administrator
To help support the District Explorer Commissioner with the smooth transition from Scouts to Explorers and keep an up to date record of all the units in the District
District Advisor – Inclusion
To champion diversity and inclusion within Bath District and assist our members with any questions or concerns they have.
Appointments Panel Member
The Appointments Panel is a key stage in recruiting volunteers. As a panel member you will join a team of people in helping ensure that applicants are fit for the role and help them start their Scouting journey!
We are looking for adult members of all ages, however we are currently in keen for young adults aged between 18-25 years old to help ensure everything we do is Youth Shaped.
Service Crew
We are looking for team players to join our enthusiastic Service Crew, to help look after both the campsite grounds and its visitors. They meet every 6 weeks or so on a Sunday and have a lot of fun.
No previous experience needed.
