Adventurous start to the new term for 69th Lower Weston

Date: 28th Sep 2023 Author: Amy Howard

69th Lower Weston started the new term in Scouting with a weekend camp at the fabulous Woodhouse Park. They enjoyed an action-packed itinerary which included a bouldering wall, abseiling, circus skills, laser tag in the woods and learning about bats plus crafting.

The Saturday evening campfire was an opportunity to relax with friends and share ideas for the term ahead.

Cubs joined us for the County Adventure Day running at same time at the same venue. So good to see many of them experiencing a Jamboree type atmosphere and to test out their teamwork skills. Many achieved their Adventure Challenge Award, a real result!

A special shout-out goes to chef Luke who served up fantastic food (always important!)

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
