Bath Scouts were delighted to host this year’s Avon Scouts Shooting Society’s prestigious annual competition – the highlight of the Shooting Society’s year. Scouts from across the region competed at the Bath Scout’s Cleeve Hill campsite on the edge of Bath.
This event is now the largest Scout Shooting competition in the country and is always hugely popular.
The day brought 130 young people and Leaders together for a variety of shooting disciplines including archery, crossbow and clay pigeon shooting.
Bath-based Scouts and Leaders did very well and brought back several trophies. Stand-out performances included Andrew Meaking, Chair of 10th Combe Down Scouts, who came 1st in the 3-stance class for adults.
