Beavers Fun Day Summer 2023

Date: 22nd Jun 2023 Author: Amy Howard

Beavers from Bath Scouts all aged between 6-8 enjoyed a Fun Day of activities last month at Bath Scout’s own campsite, Cleeve Hill on the edge of Bath, on what was one of the hottest days of the year so far.

Despite the heat the Scouts raced up a climbing wall, shot down a hill on grass sledges and learnt from older Scouts various bushcraft skills including shelter building and basic fire lighting.

Along with their Leaders and parent helpers who all joined in too, the adventurous Beavers also had the opportunity to enjoy kite making, target practice with Nerf guns, junk modelling, designing a new badge and test their team skills with various challenges.

The highlight for many Beavers was the excitement of a Police Car and the opportunity to talk to PCSOs from Bath Police who kindly let the Beavers make good use of their blue lights and siren!
